”My bank can’t confirm my letter of credit due to a limited risk appetite”

Our solution - documentary credit guarantee

A documentary credit allows you to receive the export contract payments due to you by moving the payment risk of your contract from your overseas buyer to your buyer’s bank.

In turn your bank may be willing to take on the risk of non-payment from the buyer’s bank by confirming the documentary credit.

However, there may be situations where your bank may not be willing to take on this risk.

That is where we can provide a documentary credit guarantee to your bank and assume the credit risk from your buyer’s bank.

Our documentary credit guarantee can help to protect your export revenue and finance new export activity.

In addition, if your bank is comfortable with your ability to meet your performance obligations under the contract, our guarantee can also allow them to discount the payments you will receive and make additional working capital available to you.
